✅ Confirmed
- An official Roblox event. Roblox lists a public Virtual Event for Steal an Egg with the title "⚠️ RIFTS ARE OPENING… ⚠️" under the New Content category. The event is hosted by the verified Steal an Egg group.
- The 24-hour window. The event window runs from September 5, 2026 at 15:00 UTC to September 6, 2026 at 15:00 UTC. That is 24 hours exactly, opening at the same instant worldwide.
- The teaser narrative. The official description states that strange rifts are tearing open across the world, that no one knows where they lead, and that those who enter are never seen again. It also mentions growls, screeches and movement on the other side.
- The game is live. Steal an Egg remains playable. The event listing is published as New Content, not an Admin Abuse or boost session, and nothing suggests a wipe or downtime.
⏳ Still being verified
- What the rifts actually do. The teaser implies portals to an unknown location, possibly a new biome, boss arena or限时区域. No official screenshot or mechanic has been published, so treat every "how it works" claim as speculation.
- Rift eggs / rift pets. Based on past events like the Monster Update, players expect event-exclusive eggs and pets. No names, rarities or drop rates have been confirmed by Roblox or the developer.
- Speed requirement. New zones in Steal an Egg are gated by Speed. If the rift leads to a new biome, it will likely require a high Speed threshold, but the exact number is unknown.
- Codes. Steal an Egg has never shipped a code redemption menu. We do not expect codes, but we still monitor the codes page and will list any that appear.
- Progress reset. There is no official statement about a reset. The Cherry Blossom update and the Monster Update both arrived without progress wipes.
How to make the most of RIFTS ARE OPENING
1Bank as much Speed as possible
Every new zone in Steal an Egg is gated by Speed. AFK on the treadmill, claim the free 10,000 Speed from like/favorite/join-group rewards, and equip your best Trail so you can enter any new area the moment it opens.
2Clear pet slots and inventory space
If the event drops new eggs or pets, you will want empty slots. Sell or fuse low-value duplicates now — three of the same pet in the Fuse Machine returns a higher-luck egg.
3Set a reminder for your local start time
The window opens at 08:00 PT, 11:00 ET, 16:00 BST, 17:00 CEST and 23:00 Beijing on September 5. It closes exactly 24 hours later. Use the timezone table below so you do not miss it.
4Follow the official Roblox event page
Open the official listing and hit Notify / Follow. That is the fastest way to land in an updated server once the event goes live.
5Be ready to server-hop at go-live
Rare event eggs are server-shared but their size varies per server. Hop servers right after the window opens to find the biggest spawns before other players collect them.
