What is a mutation?
A mutation is a visual + value modifier randomly applied to a pet. The Secrets guide breaks down the bread-and-butter ones: Golden and Silver are the common value multipliers, and Rainbow is the rare, high-value tier everyone hunts.
Do mutations stack?
Yes. The Secrets guide shows pets can carry multiple mutations at once (e.g. golden + silver on the same pet), and stacking is how you maximize sale value on the market. Rainbow typically sits on top as the headline modifier.
Where do they come from?
- Random on hatch / growth: most mutations appear by luck as pets hatch or mature in the Garden.
- Event boosts: Admin Abuse events and update windows are reported to spike mutation rates β be hatching during those.
- Limited / Brainrot pets: special event mutations (community-named examples like Strawberry Elephant and Bananita Dolphinita) show up only during limited windows and are covered on our pet tier list.
Value & Strategy
Mutations multiply a pet's sell price and income yield. A mutated common pet often out-earns a plain Legendary pet. Bank mutations before trading on our pet index.
Mutation Multipliers Matrix
Every mutation type provides a verified flat income multiplier that stacks multiplicatively with pet size traits:
| Mutation Tier | Multiplier | Visual Aura / Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silver | 1.25x Income | Metallic gray sheen | Random hatch roll (~5%) |
| Bloom | 1.50x Income | Floating sakura petals | Sakura Incubator hatch |
| Golden | 2.00x Income | Glowing golden sparkle | Random roll & Admin Abuse |
| Rainbow | 2.50x Income | Prismatic shifting colors | Rare egg roll (<1%) |
| Spirit Bloom | 3.00x Income | Ethereal pink flame aura | Great Bloom tree mutation |
Base Fuse Machine Guide (Fusion System)
The Fuse Machine at your base lets you combine three identical duplicate pets into one higher-potency pet. See our complete Pet Fusion & Fuse Machine Guide for exact rarity cooldown timers and crafting recipes.
- Roster Cleanup: Merge common/rare filler pets to free up pet storage and roll higher base stats.
- Caution with Mutated Pets: Do not place high-multiplier (Rainbow / Spirit Bloom) pets into the fusion machine with unmutated copies, as fusion recalculates mutation rolls and can overwrite your best multipliers.
- Calculate Output CPS: Test your pet yield before fusing using our interactive Pet Income Multiplier Calculator.
Pre-Steal Visual Clues: Spotting Mutations on Egg Shells
Before risking a dangerous nest raid, examine the egg shell from a distance:
- Glowing or Sparkling Shell: Indicates a pre-rolled Golden or Rainbow mutation inside.
- Oversized Physical Model: A physically larger egg in the nest guarantees a Huge or Giant size trait (+2.0x to +3.0x base scale).
- Petal Particles: Cherry Blossom eggs emitting pink aura will hatch guaranteed Bloom variants.
Watch: maximize mutation value with golden + silver stacking (video guide)

EXPOSING all hidden SECRETS in Steal an Egg (Roblox) - legit tips
by Codezzy Β· 11:55
Community "secrets" breakdown β bat skins, server-shared egg spawns, the Fuse Machine luck mechanic, stacked mutations and the night 30x hatch bonus. (Only legit tips; exploit glitches not recommended.)
- Finishing each biomeβs Index unlocks a bat skin; higher-tier skins knock rival players much farther β useful for defending eggs you are carrying.
- All active servers share the same egg spawns but the SIZE differs per server β server-hop to find the biggest version of a rare egg before you collect it (collecting removes it everywhere until respawn).
- Fusing 3 of the same pet does NOT make a bigger pet β it gives an egg with higher LUCK (better roll odds), so fuse duplicates you do not need.
- Pets can stack MULTIPLE mutations (e.g. golden + silver) β pure luck, but it happens.
- At night your eggs get a ~30x growth multiplier on each ~4-5 min cycle; AFK through the night to hatch far faster than waiting offline. Empty-server trick: sort by fewest players and scroll past page one.
