What is a mutation?

A mutation is a visual + value modifier randomly applied to a pet. The Secrets guide breaks down the bread-and-butter ones: Golden and Silver are the common value multipliers, and Rainbow is the rare, high-value tier everyone hunts.

Do mutations stack?

Yes. The Secrets guide shows pets can carry multiple mutations at once (e.g. golden + silver on the same pet), and stacking is how you maximize sale value on the market. Rainbow typically sits on top as the headline modifier.

Where do they come from?

• Random on hatch / growth: most mutations appear by luck as pets hatch or mature in the Garden.
• Event boosts: Admin Abuse events and update windows are reported to spike mutation rates — be hatching during those.
• Limited / Brainrot pets: special event mutations (community-named examples like Strawberry Elephant and Bananita Dolphinita) show up only during limited windows and are covered on our pet tier list.

Mutation Multipliers Matrix

Every mutation type provides a flat income multiplier that stacks multiplicatively with pet size traits — a Huge Silver can out-earn a plain Rainbow, and the two systems are independent. Fusing pets that don’t all carry the same mutation can drop the effect, so keep three identical-mutation pets together. The figures below are creator-reported: games.gg’s mutation guide (updated Sep 8, 2026) lists the same numbers we observe in-game — but the developer ships balance tweaks most Saturdays, so confirm the live value before a big trade.

Event Mutations: Parasite & Monstrous (Monster Update)

The Monster Update added two event-limited mutations that come from the Monster Chest (the reward for filling the Hungry Monster bar with parasites), not from normal hatching — so they are time-limited and rotate out when the chest loot table changes. Source note: third-party guides published in early September list only the five base mutations above and omit Parasite and Monstrous. Because the developer ships balance changes most Saturdays, the live mutation set shifts — always confirm in-game rather than trusting a single snapshot.

• Parasite Mutation: a rare Monster Chest drop that mutates Titan Temple monsters. The loop (guide-reported by allthings.how and TechWiser): bring parasite-infected eggs back to your base, strip the parasite, and feed the Hungry Monster — roughly five parasites fill its bar and trigger the chest. Roblox has not published a value multiplier for this mutation, so we treat any numbers as guide-reported, not official.
• Monstrous Mutation: guaranteed when you hatch the Monstrous Egg (also a Monster Chest drop). Our footage (Bemmy) measured the Monstrous Egg at roughly 1.5% of chest openings.

Enchanted Mutation (Enchanted Forest update)

Enchanted works differently from every mutation above: it is not a lucky hatch roll. You buy it with Enchanted Essence, and Essence is paid for in butterflies you catch yourself. The whole loop lives inside the Enchanted Tree, which only opens once you return a grown Wisp to it — which is why this mutation sits behind progression rather than behind luck.

• Catch butterflies during Butterfly Bloom. Pick up the Butterfly Net inside the Enchanted Tree and catch butterflies while Bloom is active. Bloom was first reported as a random timer, but creator footage (LoopedMuffinRBX) shows it on a fixed schedule - blooms fire at :15 and :45 each hour, opposite the portal boss at :00 and :30 - so you can time it (verify on your own server).
• Trade them up four tiers. 10 Emerald → 1 Sapphire, 10 Sapphire → 1 Amethyst, and 50 Amethyst → 1 Radiant. The last step is the expensive one.
• Pay the Essence cost. 240 Emerald, 115 Sapphire, 40 Amethyst and 1 Radiant produce one Enchanted Essence, and Essence is what applies the Enchanted Mutation to a pet.

Source note: there is no published income multiplier for Enchanted anywhere we can verify, so this page deliberately does not print one. The gate numbers above are creator-reported (TechWiser, October 3, 2026) and corroborated in outline by several other guides. Roblox exposes no API for this content.

• Roster Cleanup: Merge common/rare filler pets to free up pet storage and roll higher base stats.
• Caution with Mutated Pets: Do not place high-multiplier (Rainbow / Spirit Bloom) pets into the fusion machine with unmutated copies, as fusion recalculates mutation rolls and can overwrite your best multipliers.

Pre-Steal Visual Clues: Spotting Mutations on Egg Shells

Before risking a dangerous nest raid, examine the egg shell from a distance:

• Glowing or Sparkling Shell: Indicates a pre-rolled Golden or Rainbow mutation inside.
• Oversized Physical Model: A physically larger egg in the nest guarantees a Huge or Giant size trait (+2.0x to +3.0x base scale).
• Petal Particles: Cherry Blossom eggs emitting pink aura will hatch guaranteed Bloom variants.
