Who maintains this site
This site is written and maintained by CT, the Site Maintainer for Steal an Egg Wiki. It is a small, independent project: the same person researches the game, edits the pages and answers the inbox. Nothing here is written by the game developer, and no developer has ever reviewed or approved a page on this site.
Because the byline is an organization rather than a studio, we state plainly who is accountable for what you read: one named maintainer, one public contact address, and a page history you can check. When something on this site is wrong, there is a person to hold responsible for it — that is the entire point of publishing our standards instead of hiding behind a logo.
How we verify what we publish
Every claim on this site is meant to be traceable to a source a reader could check independently. In practice that means we work from three kinds of evidence, and we label which one applies:
Official
Returned by a Roblox API endpoint or shown on the official game page.
Examples: Live player counts, total visits, favourites, badge holder counts and the list of game passes all come from Roblox endpoints we query directly.
Creator-observed
Described and demonstrated by a creator in a gameplay video, but not published by the developer.
Examples: Hatch odds, Speed gate values and event mechanics are usually only visible in gameplay first — we cite the video and label the claim.
Unverified
Community-reported or plausible, with no source we could confirm. We do not publish these as fact.
Examples: Named-but-undocumented pet slots, rumoured code rewards and datamined drop tables are marked as unconfirmed or left out entirely.
What we deliberately do not publish
Plenty of pages in this niche list exact multipliers, exact drop percentages and exact per-item values. Most of those numbers are copied from other sites without a source, or invented to fill a table. We would rather show a gap than a guess:
- No invented price lists. Where a number is not published by the developer or visible in gameplay, the page says so and explains how to check it in-game instead.
- No scraped tables. Pages are written from our own notes, the Roblox API, official listings and credited creator videos — not reworded from a competitor.
- No cheating tools. We do not host, link or recommend scripts, executors or exploit downloads. The scripts page explains the ban risk and the legitimate routes instead, and we do not publish download links for anything.
- No fake counts. Pages do not inflate how many entries a database holds or how many players use a feature.
How to correct us
Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way to improve this site. If a code has expired, an event time has changed, or a mechanic works differently than we describe, email us the page URL and what you saw. Screenshots, a video timestamp, or a note about the patch you were playing on make a correction much easier to confirm.
We do not promise a publication deadline we cannot keep, and we do not publish a correction we cannot verify. What we do commit to is this: every correction is read, verifiable reports are applied, and the page's “last updated” date moves when the content actually changes.
Contact
Corrections, data questions, copyright or attribution requests and partnership enquiries all go to the same inbox:
This is a volunteer-run project, so replies can take a couple of days. For account and billing problems, contact official Roblox Support instead — we have no access to Roblox accounts. The full contact page lists what we can and cannot help with.
Where the data comes from
Live numbers on this site are queried from the official Roblox API rather than typed in by hand. The snapshot below was taken Oct 18, 2026 — treat it as a point-in-time reading, not a live figure:
- Game stats (currently playing, visits, favourites) and the game pass list come from Roblox endpoints and are attributed to the game, not to us.
- Badge holder counts were last verified Oct 12, 2026 and are expressed as a share of the entry-level badge, which we use as a proxy for the player base.
- Everything else — biome order, Speed gates, event windows, strategies — is compiled from gameplay and credited creator videos, and is labelled accordingly.
The data sources page lists the specific endpoints and the evidence tier behind each data set, and the privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you visit.
Independence and how this site is funded
This site is not paid for by the developer and carries no sponsored placements that pretend to be editorial. Running it costs money, and the intention is to cover that with ordinary display advertising once the site qualifies, plus the partner links in the footer. Adverts will never be presented as content, and no advertiser gets to influence a guide, a tier ordering or a correction.
Game names, logos and artwork belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and commentary. If you are a rights holder and want an asset credited or removed, email us and we will act on it.
