How the new biome actually works
This is not another fixed tier on the ladder. The biome sits past Titan Temple, the zone added in the Monster Update, and it behaves like a nightly event rather than a place you farm on demand.
- It only appears at night. Log in during the day and the zone is not part of your run. Plan sessions around the in-game clock, not your own.
- It rolls a side, not a schedule. Each night gives you either the Light form or the Dark form, and there is no player control. Server-hopping is the only way to hunt a specific side.
- Each side has its own egg. The Light form spawns the Angel Egg, the Dark form spawns the Demon Egg. A merged night spawns both at once and adds a luck bonus for the whole zone.
- Carrying an egg is the dangerous part. The entry gate is about getting in; surviving the run back with an egg in your hands is what the 50 billion recommendation is really about.
All 16 new pets, by side and rarity
Both sides follow the same shape: two Legendary-and-Mythic filler entries, two Cosmics, two Secrets, one Eternal and one Divine. The Divine pet is the headline pull of its side, and the Eternal pet is the fusion ingredient you will need most often.

The eggs of Update 4
- Angel Egg — the Light pool. It guarantees one Divine chance, which is why a single good run on either side is never wasted time.
- Demon Egg — the Dark pool, same Divine guarantee.
- Fusion Egg — produced by the Shrine. It does not come from a nest, and it still has to be placed in your pen and hatched like any other egg.
- Luminous Egg — replaced the Monster Egg in the shop. It re-rolls an animal you already own into its luminous variant rather than adding a new species, and its purchase method was not restated in the patch notes.

The Secret Fusion Shrine, step by step
The Shrine is the single most valuable thing in this update because it produces pets that neither egg can hatch. It is community-located: several independent guides describe the same entrance, and the steps below match all of them.
1Reach the biome
Get to the Angels vs Demons biome, which sits past Titan Temple, with at least 20 billion Speed. It held the top spot until the 50 Billion Enchanted Forest opened past it, so treat it as the step before the end rather than the end itself.
2Face the large gate
Walk to the end of the biome and stand in front of the huge gate that closes off the zone.
3Turn around and find the waterfall
Turn 180 degrees. The waterfall directly opposite the gate is the entrance. It is blue on the Angel side and runs as lava on the Demon side.
4Walk into the waterfall
Step straight into the water. If you do not clip through immediately, keep walking forward and jump repeatedly until the room loads.
5Place one Light and one Dark pet
Inside, put a Light Eternal or Divine pet on one pedestal and a Dark Eternal or Divine pet on the other. Same-side pairs do nothing at all.
6Collect and hatch the Fusion Egg
After the animation, take the Fusion Egg from your inventory and place it in your pen to hatch the fusion pet.

Both recipes consume one pet per player, and both players walk away with a Fusion Egg. If you do not own the right Dark pet yet, this is the one part of the update worth doing with a partner rather than soloing through trades.
What we can confirm
- The update is live. Update 4 shipped on September 12, 2026 as the “Angels VS Demons” update — the same content Roblox teased beforehand as “LIGHT VS DARKNESS”. Its headline addition is a new late-game biome.
- The Speed gate is 20 billion. Reaching the biome needs 20 billion Speed, and community trackers recommend roughly 50 billion before you try to carry an egg back out, because the escape run is harder than the entry.
- The biome alternates every night. The zone is a coin flip: each night it rolls into either the Angels (Light) form or the Demons (Dark) form, and there is no way for a player to pick a side. Switching servers is the only way to look for the side you want.
- Two new eggs, both with a Divine guarantee. The Angel Egg hatches the Light line and the Demon Egg hatches the Dark line. Both eggs guarantee one Divine-rarity roll in the pool, so farming either side is worth the trip.
- A third, rare variant exists. Some nights the biome rolls as a merged Angels + Demons zone where both egg types spawn together and the whole area gets a temporary luck bonus. That window is the best time to stock up on both sides.
Still open or player-reported
- The Sealed Shrine wording. The in-game Shrine was located by the community instead of by patch notes, so treat the exact wording of its rules as player-observed rather than developer-documented. The behaviour below is consistent across several independent guides.
- Merged-biome odds. No source publishes the chance of a merged night. Anyone quoting a percentage is estimating, so plan around the biome being a coin flip and use server-hopping instead of waiting.
- Per-pet income figures. Individual income values for the 16 new pets are not published in the sources we track, so we do not print numbers for them. One published exception is Aetheron, the Divine fusion result, which Beebom reports at roughly $6.9 billion per second.
- Egg odds per rarity. Hatch percentages inside the Angel and Demon Eggs have not been published. The rarity ladder below tells you which pets exist and how rare each one is; it does not claim a drop rate.
How to prepare for a good run
1Push Speed to the gate before you queue for the biome
Everything about this zone is Speed-gated. Bank treadmill training and equip your best Trail so a 20 billion entry does not turn into a 20 billion corpse run.
2Clear pet slots and sell the bottom of your roster
Sixteen new pets mean sixteen new slots you will want. Sell or fuse duplicates before you travel so you are never choosing between a Divine roll and a full pen.
3Check which side is up before you commit
Ask in the server, or look at the biome colours as you arrive: the Angel side is blue, the Demon side runs red. If you need the other side, hop servers instead of waiting for a flip.
4Farm both sides before you fuse anything
Every Shrine recipe needs one Light pet and one Dark pet, so a single-side collection cannot fuse at all. Bank at least one Eternal-tier pet from each side first.
5Trade with a partner for one-off fusions
A fusion only consumes the pets placed on the pedestals by each player, and both participants receive a Fusion Egg. Cooperating with another player lets you complete a recipe you cannot complete alone.
Where this leaves the rest of the game
- Speed still rules everything. The jump from Titan Temple to this biome is the biggest single gate in the game — see the biome ladder and the treadmill guide for the fastest route to it.
- Sell the filler, keep the ingredients. Fifteen of the sixteen new pets are ordinary roster upgrades. Only the four Eternal and Divine pets unlock the Shrine, so those are the ones worth protecting.
- The event name changed, not the content. If you searched for “Light vs Darkness”, that tease became this update — the event page links here for the shipped version.

What is the Angels vs Demons update in Steal an Egg?
It is Update 4, live since September 12, 2026. Can you choose the Angels side or the Demons side?
No. The biome re-rolls each night and players cannot pick a side. The practical workaround is server-hopping: different servers are on different rolls, so if you need Light pets and your server is on the Demon side, look for another server.
Which pets are the best in the Angels and Demons biome?
By rarity the top of each side is ArchAngel (Divine, Light) and World Burner (Divine, Dark), followed by the Eternal pair Pegasus (Light) and Skeleton Horse (Dark). Those four are also the only pets the Secret Fusion Shrine accepts, which makes them the highest-value targets even before you consider raw income.
Where is the Secret Fusion Shrine in Steal an Egg?
It is hidden behind the waterfall that faces the large gate at the end of the Angels and Demons biome. On the Angel side the waterfall is blue; on the Demon side it runs as lava, but the entrance is in the same place. Walk into it and keep moving — jumping helps if you do not clip through straight away.
What are the fusion recipes in the Secret Fusion Shrine?
There are two published pairs. Pegasus (Light Eternal) plus Skeleton Horse (Dark Eternal) produces Equinox, and ArchAngel (Light Divine) plus World Burner (Dark Divine) produces Aetheron. Each fusion needs one pet from each side — mixing two Light pets or two Dark pets does nothing.
Do both players get a pet from a fusion?
Yes. When two players each place one pet, both players receive a Fusion Egg on their own account, and the egg still has to be hatched in a pen to become a pet. You do not need to trade the pets to each other first.
What is the Luminous Egg in Steal an Egg?
The Luminous Egg replaced the Monster Egg in the Robux store with Update 4. Its job is unchanged: it re-rolls an animal you already own into its luminous variant instead of adding a brand-new species. The patch notes do not restate its price or purchase method, so check the in-game shop before spending.
Are there codes for the Angels vs Demons update?
No. Steal an Egg has never shipped a code redemption menu, and Update 4 did not add one. We track the codes page daily and will list anything that appears; until then, the free Speed from liking, favouriting and joining the group is the only no-cost bonus.
Does the Angels vs Demons update reset progress?
