Privacy Policy

What this site collects, which third parties are involved, and how to withdraw consent.

This policy explains how Steal an Egg Wiki handles personal data. It covers cookies, analytics and embedded video, and it applies to every page on this site.

1. The short version

  • There is no login, no account and no form on this site. We never ask for your name, address, payment details or game credentials.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not currently serve third-party advertising on this site.
  • In the EEA and the UK, analytics starts switched off until you choose otherwise. Elsewhere it is on by default.
  • You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page, and withdrawing deletes the Google cookies already stored on your device.
  • We never sell personal information, and we do not send your personal details to Google.

2. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller for this site is Steal an Egg Wiki, an independent fan-run project maintained by CT (Site Maintainer). For any privacy question, request or complaint, contact hi@stealanegg-roblox.wiki. We aim to respond to privacy requests within a couple of days.

3. What we collect, and why

3.1 Information stored on your device

  • Your consent choice — stored in your browser's local storage under the key sae_consent_v1, so we do not ask you on every page. This is strictly necessary and is kept until you clear it.
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics sets identifiers such as _ga and _ga_<container> to distinguish visits in aggregate. Set only when analytics is allowed.
  • Advertising cookies — this site does not currently serve third-party advertising, so no advertising cookies are set by us or our partners.

This site does not load any third-party advertising scripts.

3.2 Information received automatically

Like any website, ours receives technical request data: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you requested, the page that referred you, and a timestamp. Our hosting and CDN provider keeps short-lived server logs for security and abuse prevention. Google Analytics receives a truncated/anonymised view of this data together with pages viewed and session-level interactions.

This data is used to keep the site online, to understand which guides people actually read. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is never combined with data that identifies you personally.

3.3 What we do not collect

We do not collect names, email addresses (unless you email us first), postal addresses, payment or billing details, government identifiers, precise location data, or any in-game credentials. There is no comment system, no user profile and no upload facility on this site. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

4. Third parties

The following third parties may process data in connection with your visit:

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) — aggregated traffic measurement. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Our hosting and CDN provider — serving pages and protecting the site from abuse.
  • YouTube (Google) — embedded creator videos are served from youtube-nocookie.com. No YouTube cookie is set until you press play; once a video plays, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own policy.

We do not pass any personally identifiable information — no email address, no name, no account data — to Google in analytics calls, and we do not use Google's products to identify you across services.

5. Consent, and how to withdraw it

Where the law requires prior consent (the EEA and the UK), Google Analytics is switched off by default and only activates after you accept. Google Consent Mode tells Google's tags which choice you made. Outside those regions analytics is on by default, because no prior consent is legally required there.

Withdrawal takes effect on the page you are already reading: the Google identifiers listed above are deleted from your device immediately, without waiting for a reload or your next visit.

To change your mind, open Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. You can accept analytics or withdraw consent entirely. Withdrawing is a real deletion, not a switch: it removes the Google cookies already written to your device (_ga, _gid, _gat*, _gac_*, IDE, DSID, __gads, __gpi and related identifiers) and stops Google tags loading on subsequent pages. You can also clear all storage for this site through your browser settings at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to request a portable copy. Because this site has no accounts, the only data we might hold that identifies you is an email you have sent us — deleting it is straightforward on request.

If you are in the EEA or the UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you may request to know what personal information is collected and to have it deleted; we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. Requests go to hi@stealanegg-roblox.wiki.

7. Security, transfers and retention

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the publishing pipeline is restricted to the maintainer. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold as little as possible: there is no database of visitors to breach. Aggregated analytics reports are retained for the period configured in our analytics property (no longer than 14 months) and server logs are short-lived. Where data is transferred outside your region — for example to Google in the United States — it is covered by the transfer safeguards described in Google's own privacy documentation.

8. Children

This site is a general-audience game reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Roblox requires users to be 13 or older; if you are younger, please use an adult-managed account and ask a parent before accepting analytics cookies. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If our practices change — for example when a new analytics feature is added — this page will be updated and the reviewed date below will change. Material changes will be reflected in the consent panel as well, since consent is always re-askable from the footer.
